Hosting your mini site at sema4.com.au
No sub domain, example URL: https://www.sema4.com.au/clients/[your_client_code]
Or with sub domain, example URL: https://yourbusinessname.sema4.com.au.
IMPORTANT:
If your web page (mini site) is being hosted on the sema4.com.au server, that means your site files (text, images, associated scripts, code, etc) are held in a subfolder of sema4.com.au/clients/ .
That means that access to your page not accessible by you or a third-party.
As the sole trader administering the site, your content may not be able to be updated if I become unable to edit the sema4.com.au site content – for whatever reason.
Content will continue to be available online while the sema4.com.au domain remains active. If the domain name and/or the domain hosting contract expire, your mini-site data may be lost.
To avoid such loss of your data, or at least the loss of control of your data, I recommend registering a domain for your business and host your data at that address.
There is a variety of domain options to choose from.
Two traditionally popular domain choices are .com and .com.au. For example: your_business.com and your_business.com.au.
Other are .au, .net, .net.au, .store, .online, .org, ai, .quest, .shop, and many more.
Get in touch if you would like to register a domain for your business to discuss prices and hosting options.
For larger, more interactive sites, assistance is offered with the establishment and use of content management systems Wordpress and Ghost.
Such a system is recommended if you plan to update your website frequently/regularly.
Access to your site via Wordpress or Ghost provides a user-friendly interface to edit or update the content of your website.
